Overview

Ooty, officially known as Udagamandalam (also known as Ootacamund); abbreviated as Udhagai), is a town and a municipality in the Nilgiris district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located 86 km north of Coimbatore and 128 km south of Mysore and is the headquarters of the Nilgiris district. It is a popular hill station located in the Nilgiri Hills. Local residents call it the ‘Queen of Hills’.

Itinerary

Pickup from Coimbatore Airport/Railway Station and drive to Ooty. Check in to Hotel. Later, visit Doddabetta Peak and Pykara Falls Enroute, visit Pine forest shooting spot.

Enjoy a tour of the ‘Queen of the Blue Mountains’. Visit Botanical Garden, one of the famous attractions of Ooty. This garden was laid out in 1897 by the Marquis of Tweedale. The garden features thousands of species of plants, shrubs, ferns, trees, herbal plants, etc. Thereafter, visit the Rose Garden or Centenary Rose Park which is situated in the heart of Ooty town.

Pack up and drive back to Coimbatore Airport/Railway Station.
