Tourist/Visit

Tourist visa is no longer issued to individuals. Recognized agents can take a group of 8 to 10 people with the prior sanction of the visa consular.

• A passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
• Two visa form (photocopy not allowed).
• Two passport-size photographs.
• A covering letter from the Applicant.
• Applicant needs confirmed return / onward air ticket.
• Onward country visa.
• Proof of funds like bank statement for last six months and Income tax returns for last three years.
• Visa is valid for 30 days and is issued for a stay of 30 days.
• Visa processing takes 2 to 3 working day.

Business

• A covering letter from the Indian organization/ Individual.
• A recommendation letter from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
• Invitation either from the Ministry in Sanaa or the sponsoring company in Yemen, should be sent in original directly to the Embassy.
• Proof of funds like bank statement for last six months and Income tax returns for last three years.
• Applicant needs confirmed return / onward air ticket.
• Onward visa and proof of funds.
• Visa is valid for 30 days and is issued for a stay of 30 days.
• Visa processing takes 2 to 3 working day.

Seamen

• A passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
• Two visa form (photocopy not allowed).
• Two passport-size photographs.
• A covering letter from the shipping company.
• Indian seamen traveling on duty must hold Letter of Guarantee from the shipping company with seamen book and passport.
• A fax message from the shipping agent in Yemen to the Embassy giving particulars of the seamen,date and port of joining the ship is required.
• Applicant needs confirmed return / onward air ticket.
• Onward country visa.
• Proof of funds like bank statement for last six months and Income tax returns for last three years.
• Visa processing takes 2 to 3 working day.

Work Permit

• A passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
• Two visa form (photocopy not allowed).
• Two passport-size photographs.
• A covering letter from the Applicant.
• Applicant needs confirmed return / onward air ticket.
• A covering letter from the Applicant.
• Visa is to applied by the employer in Yemen to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration Department.
• Visa approval is sent directly to the Embassy with copy to the sponsor.
• Visa approval copy and medical certificate from Embassy approved doctor.
• All applications are referred to Yemen and can take one to two months for the approval.
• Visa processing takes 3 working days after the approval is received.
