Applicants from India, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia can submit their application for online visa https://oa1.immigration.gov.tw/nia_southeast/ . To qualify please read the following conditions to receive an online check in order to enter Taiwan:

1. The passport must be valid for more than 6 months. (Refer to the time when you really enter Taiwan, but not the time when you make the online application.

A return ticket (by air or by ship).

Applicant should have never been employed as a worker in Taiwan, except the white collar worker.

2. Special conditions: (Available for any of the following certificates).

You should have valid:

(1). Permanent Resident Card.

(2). Entry Visa of any one of the countries: America, Canada, England, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Schengen European countries.

(Applicant will be required to present the card or Visa for a check when wanting to enter Taiwan; if it is not presented, entry will be refused.)

Tourist

• A passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
• Photocopy of the applicant’s passport.
• One Visa Form (The Applicants need to fill online visa form at the websitehttps://visawebapp.boca.gov.twand take the printout of filled online form, should be signed by the traveler).
• Two recent passport-size photographs (35 x 45 mm) with white back ground.
• Applicant needs confirmed return / onward air ticket.
• Visa Request Letter from Travel Agency in India or Taiwan with detailed itinerary and payment proof or Invitation letter from Taiwan’s inviter.
• A Covering Letter from the Company or the Applicant mentioning the purpose of the visit and the duration of stay (in original).
• Personal financial proof. Providing either one of the proofs below:-
  • Form 16 for 3 years
  • ITR for 3 years
  • Original personal bank statement for 3 months with bank seal on each page with signatures of Bank’s Authorising Signatory.
• Kotak Bank payment slip of the Visa fee.
• Hotel confirmation required, for the period of stay.
• Visa is valid for 3 months with a maximum stay of 60 days from the date of entry.
• Visa processing takes 2 working days for Normal case and next day collection for Urgent case.

Multiple entry visa is granted to only those who have travelled to Taiwan at least three times in a last year.

Applicants should deposit either cash or demand drafts to any branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank in New Delhi, account No. 9411166749, in favor of Taipei Economic and Cultural Center & Payable by demand draft drawn in favour of “Taipei Economic & Cultural Centre” in Chennai.

Visa fee is non-refundable.

Business

• A passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of entry into Taiwan, along with both old and new passport are required.
• Photocopy of the applicant’s passport.
• One Visa Form (The Applicants need to fill online visa form at the websitehttps://visawebapp.boca.gov.twand take the printout of filled online form, should be signed by the traveler).
• Two recent passport-size photographs (35 x 45 mm) with white back ground, taken within last six months.
• A Covering Letter from the Company or the Applicant mentioning the purpose of the visit , designation of the visitor and the intended duration of stay (if applicants require multiple entry visa, tentative traveling date should be mentioned. (in original).
• A invitation should come as a fax from Taiwan with Taiwan Companies fax number showing on it. It should also mention the travel dates on which the applicant is traveling. This invitation should be signed manually as signatures in form of a stamp will not be acceptable.
• A copy of Company Registration Certificate or Import/ Export License issued by the Reserve Bank of India.
• Proof of transaction, e.g. LC/remittance receipts/ business correspondence between trading parties; Company’s bank statement for the last three months.
• Copies of Income Tax Returns for the past 3 years and Salary slips of the last 6 months.
• Details of the contact person in Taiwan.
• Original Bank Statement for the period of 3 months. The statement should have Bank Seal on each page with signatures of Bank’s Authorising Signatory.
• Last three Months updated Company bank statements original with Stamp and signed by the bank.
• Confirmed round-trip air ticket and hotel booking in Taiwan.
• Original Highest Degree Certificate to be shown at the time of visa submission.
• Visa is valid for 3 months with a maximum stay of 60 days from the date of entry.
• Visa processing takes 2 working days for Normal case and next day collection for Urgent case.

Multiple entry visa is granted to only those who have travelled to Taiwan at least three times in a last year.

Seamen

• A passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
• Photocopy of the applicant’s passport.
• One Visa Form (The Applicants need to fill online visa form at the website https://visawebapp.boca.gov.twand take the printout of filled online form, should be signed by the traveler).
• Two recent passport-size photographs (35 x 45 m) with white back ground.
• Applicant needs confirmed return / onward air ticket.
• Indian Seamen travelling on duty must hold a Letter of Guarantee from the Shipping Company with along with the Seamen Book (along with a copy for submission).
• A copy of the Registration Certificate of the Shipping Company in India must be included.
• A fax message from the Shipping Agent in Taiwan must be sent to the Embassy. It should state the particulars of the Seamen and the date and port of joining the Ship.
• Sufficient funds in the form of Income Tax Returns, Bank statements and property papers.
• A Covering Letter from the Company or the Applicant mentioning the purpose of the visit and the duration of stay (in original).
• Original Bank Statement for the period of 3 months. The statement should have Bank Seal on each page with signatures of Bank’s Authorising Signatory.
• Foreign exchange should be endorsed on the passport.
• Visa is valid for 3 months with a maximum stay of 60 days from the date of entry.
• Visa processing takes 2 working days for Normal case and next day collection for Urgent case.

• Two passport- size photographs.
• Letter of Appointment (in original).
• Letter of Guarantee from the Sponsor.
• Contract letter.
• Work Experience Certificate and all Educational Certificates.
• An entry visa valid for 3 months will be issued, which can be extended in Taiwan.
• Visa processing takes 7 working days. Some times the application is referred to Taiwan for approval and can take longer.

Multiple entry visa is granted to only those who have travelled to Taiwan at least three times in a last year.

• Photocopy of the applicant’s passport.
• One Visa Form (The Applicants need to fill online visa form at the websitehttps://visawebapp.boca.gov.twand take the printout of filled online form, should be signed by the traveler).
• Two recent passport-size photographs (35 x 45 mm) with white back ground.
• Applicant needs confirmed return / onward air ticket.
• Visa Request Letter from applicant, stating the study plan (duration, type of degree).
• Acceptance letter from the University in Taiwan.
• Sufficient financial proof for studying in Taiwan and scholarship proof (if any).
• No objection letter from college in India.
• Authenticated health certificate (Not required for Internship purpose).
• Authenticated highest degree and transcript in Original Copy (Not required for Internship purpose)
• For Provisional certificate and transcript holder :
  • According to the regulation of Education Ministry of Republic of China, foreign student should submit “Original Certificate and transcript” for acceptance. Therefore, the Original Certificate and Transcript are the mandatory documents for applying Student Visa.
  • If the applicant can not provide the documents mentioned, TECC will ask an additional letter from the University in Taiwan to acknowledge that it is well-informed that the concerned student is holding Provisional one and the university request the TECC to attest the related documents.
• TECC will issue a Student Visa for 60 days stay which is extensible in Taiwan only twice. The student should ask his/her university or school in India to issue the Original one and have it within 160 days after arriving Taiwan in order to apply the Residence Visa.
• Kotak Bank payment slip of the Visa fee.
• Without the Residence Visa, student is not permitted to stay in Taiwan.
• Visa is valid for 3 months with a maximum stay of 60 days from the date of entry.
• Visa processing takes 2 working days for Normal case and next day collection for Urgent case.
