Requisite Documents and Fees

Name: Peru

Tourist

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for the visa. If the passport has been renewed, the previous passport should be enclosed.
  • Two duly completed visa forms.
  • Two recent passports-sizes colored phonographs with white background.
  • A Covering Letter from the Applicant, explaining the purpose of travel.
  • A letter from the Company where the Applicant is employed. The Company Profile and proof of registration is also required.
  • Applicant needs confirmed return / onward air ticket. Please note that the air-ticket number is used on the visa stamp, therefore the original air ticket is required.
  • Proof of funds is required. They can be in the form of property papers, PAN Card copy, original bank statements for the last 6 months, foreign exchange endorsement in the passport.
  • Applicant’s Income Tax Returns for the last 3 years and should be attested by the Notary Public.
  • In the case of sponsored trips the Sponsor in Peru or India should be equally accredited for his/ her financial status, employment and his/her source of income. Alternately, the sponsor should present a written affidavit duly signed and certified by the notary stating his/ her responsibility for the boarding and lodging of the Applicant. The Sponsor should also take responsibility for the repatriation of the traveler if he/ she acquires an illegal status or does not have sufficient funds to return.
  • Photocopies/ facsimile copies of the documents would not be accepted in any case.
  • Visa issued is valid for 6 months and allows a maximum stay of 90 days per entry.
  • Visa processing takes 3 to 4 working days.

The Embassy of Peru has the right to ask for additional documents or call the applicant for an interview and verification.

Business

  • A Recommendation Letter from the Chamber of Commerce in India.
  • Applicant needs confirmed return / onward air ticket. Please note that the air-ticket number is used on the visa stamp, therefore the original air ticket is required.
  • Original bank statements of the last 6 months, of both the Company and the Applicant.
  • Applicant’s Income Tax Returns for the last 3 years and should be attested by the Notary Public.

  • Indian Seamen traveling on duty must hold a Letter of Guarantee from the Shipping Company with Seamen book.
  • A Letter from the Shipping Agent in Peru should be faxed directly to the Embassy stating the particulars of the Seamen, and the date and port of their joining the Ship.
  • Visa processing takes 3 to 4 working days after the visa is sanctioned.
