The Embassy of Greece thru VFS has started Skype services to conduct Interviews for Applicants submitting their Application at satellite Centre’s: Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Chennai, so that the applicant does not have to come to New Delhi. Please note that Applicant has to visit the respective Application Centre for the Interview which will be conducted by Embassy of Greece.

A visa application form to be filled in completely and signed by the traveler. (Application Form of Child under 18 should be signed by both the Parents).
One recent passport size colored photograph (35 x 40 mm) with white background, 70-80% face coverage, Photograph taken with a digital camera must be high quality colour and printed on photo-quality paper. Photograph should not be more than 6 months old.
The passport must be valid for atleast three months after the intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States or, in case of several visits, after the last intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States. Passports valid for more than 10 years will not be accepted as the main required travel document. It is mandatory to have two blank pages opposite to each other.

Visa processing takes 10 to 15 working days.

Applicants who have traveled to Schengen countries twice or more in the past, need not to appear for interview at Greek Embassy. However Embassy can call an Applicant for a personal Interview if it is required.

The visa fee, according to Schengen regulations, is non-refundable. Original documents submitted must be accompanied along with a copy.

There is a service charge of INR 886/- (Inclusive of Service Tax levied per application over and above the visa fees). Please note Applicants applying at Mumbai, Jalandhar, Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bangalore, Puducherry, Cochin and Kolkata Centres need to pay service charge of INR 1540/- (Inclusive of Service Tax levied per application over and above the visa fees). Family Re-Unification (D-Type)

A visa application form to be filled in completely and signed by the traveler. (Application Form of Child under 18 should be signed by both the Parents).
One recent passport size colored photograph (35 x 40 mm) with white background, 70-80% face coverage, Photograph taken with a digital camera must be high quality colour and printed on photo-quality paper. Photograph should not be more than 6 months old.
The passport must be valid for atleast three months after the intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States or, in case of several visits, after the last intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States. Passports valid for more than 10 years will not be accepted as the main required travel document. It is mandatory to have two blank pages opposite to each other.

Marriage Certificate duly attested by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi with an Apostile Sticker.
Marriage Photographs & Marriage card.
Police Clearance Certificate issued by local police station and duly attested by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi with an Apostile Sticker. The certificate should not be older than six (06) months and PCC issued by passport office will not be acceptable.
Medical Certificate duly attested by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi with an Apostile Sticker. In the medical certificate it should be mentioned that the applicant is not suffering from cholera, tuberculosis, yellow fever, plague and any other transmitting disease as defined by the World Health Organization and is not pregnant. The certificate should not be older than six (06) months.
Ration Card (Original with English translation) duly attested by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi with an Apostile Sticker.
Matriculation Certificate or Middle School Board Certificate or School Leaving Certificate containing the Date of Birth.
Divorce Judgment & Decree from former Spouse, if applicable.
Passport photocopy (recent & cancelled) of all the pages of the Sponsor.
Bank Statement of the Sponsor from Greece for the last three (03) months.
Income Tax Returns of the Sponsor from Greece for the last three (03) years and duly authorized by Greek Public Financial Service called DOY.
Rent Agreement or Proof of Residence duly authorized by Greek Public Financial Service called DOY.
Original certificate from the Social Security (called IKA) of the inviter mentioning that his family medical expenses will be covered.
Employment contract letter of the sponsor or any other proof of Employment.
Family Status Certificate mentioning the name of spouse and children. The Family Status Certificate must state that the inviter is still married to the applicant and that their children are the following. The certificate can be issued either from India or Indian Embassy in Athens. If the certificate is issued from India than it should be duly authorized by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi with an Apostile sticker. The certificate should not be older than six (06) months.
In case of Minor:
Birth Certificate (with English Translation) duly attested by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi with an Apostile Sticker.
Medical Certificate duly attested by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi with an Apostile Sticker. In the medical certificate it should be mentioned that the applicant is not suffering from cholera, tuberculosis, yellow fever, plague and any other transmitting disease as defined by the World Health Organization.
Police Clearance Certificate duly attested by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi with an Apostile Sticker.
Previous passport may also be required by the Embassy.

Applicants from India, applying for Family Reunion have to deposit Rs 20000/- (for Punjab and Chandigarh) & Rs 30000/- (for rest of India) as verification charges in:

A Covering Letter from the applicant explaining the reason of the trip & duration of stay in Greece.
Original No-Objection Letter from the Institute.
Original Acceptance Letter from the College/Institute/University.
Proof of Scholarship, if not than proof of sufficient funds to cover living expenses & cost of study.
Receipt of payment of Enrollment fee to the Educational establishment.
Photocopies of Academic Certificates duly attested by HRD & Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi with an Apostile sticker.
Proof of sufficient Funds of the Sponsor:
- Original Personal Bank statements for last six months. Internet Bank Statement will not be accepted,only Bank Statement with name of the bank, branch address, contact number, applicantÔÇÖs name, address, account number will be accepted.
- Original Personal Income Tax Return for the last three years.
- Salary Slips for the last six months.
- Credit Card copy/Foreign Exchange endorsement/TravelerÔÇÖs Cheque.
Overseas medical insurance valid for all Schengen-countries with a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euro. The insurance has to cover all risk e.g. accident, illness, etc. The policy has to clearly specify the period of validity and has to cover the date of arrival and departure has to be submitted in original. Applicant also has to sign the Health Policy declaration which can be downloaded from the website. If going for PHD or Research, Contract with the University detailing the period of validity and the salary of the Researcher. The contract must be attested by a Greek Public Authority.
